Blogpost # M. 282 RETAIL COGNITION

Readers of this blogspace undoubtedly are aware that we have consistently castigated televised advertisements for the sale of medicine to the general public, as irresponsibly ignoring the individually nuanced possibility of adverse effects. For this reason, we have suggested their curtailment, similar to that of cigarette ads. We have also recommended, especially to our sisters, the salubrious practice of accepting the immutable process of maturity and its changing contextual perception of personal appearance as wiser and more rewarding than the ultimate futility of dependence upon advertised cosmetic products.

With analogous reference to the individual’s nuanced, natural age-related cognitive decline, we are obliged to perceive the televised offers of relevant amelioration, empirically questionable and perhaps misleading. No scientific or empirical basis is offered for the empirical efficacy of the proffered items’ highly vaunted cognitive and memory benefits, save the scripted assertions of physically attractive, mature actors, reciting the scripted roles of purportedly satisfied users. We have sought the advice of several medical professionals who have uniformly advised us that the publicly alleged benefits of such products are entirely unproven.

Experience has taught us that acquisitions of facile, commercially bruited “quick fixes” or alterations of naturally occurring aging phenomena are, at best, illusory and fertile grounds for sophomoric self-deception and, accordingly, ripe opportunities for commercial profitability.

Concerning the subject of aging memory and cognition, the aspiration for prevention or amelioration is not satisfied in the practice of taking pills in one’s senior years, but rather seen in the individual’s earlier habitual lifestyle of contemplative pursuit of knowledge, mature perception, and empirically based understanding. A healthy lifetime of contemplative use of one’s mind is the best assurance of acceptable cognitive health in later years, as opposed to not purported, miracle-working retail products hawked on television to gullible audiences.

By instructive analogy, an individual who has unwisely chosen to live a sedentary life cannot, in later life, acquires desired physical prowess and an attractive musculature by retail purchase, albeit the possible accuracy of the commercially televised declarations of efficacy. In the context of the theme of the present writing, we find utilitarian value in the populist phrase: “If you don’t use it, you lose it.”

Blogpost # M. 281 IN THE BEGINNING:    (a radical theory)

We would preface this writing with an apology for the exalted (Biblical) title and, notably, for the presumption implicit in its theoretically radical and unprovable context; however, we felt that our recently ruminative speculation relative to the advent of the human persona was at a minimum, worthy of expression and hopefully, at least a modicum of thought. We do not attribute to it any empirical or demonstrable verisimilitude, but present it merely as a conceivable possibility.

Writings like “Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,” by Robert Louis Stevenson, and “Siddhartha,” by Herman Hesse, are thematic presentations of the arcane, unexplainable duality of Mankind’s persona. Like Cain and Abel in the Biblical chapter of Genesis, the human persona is empirically bifurcated between righteous individuals and those who are evil. In this waiting, we have bravely, and perhaps overly presumptuously, undertaken to express in our speculative and radical theory, attributing an early, in fact, neonatal dynamic as determinative of the advent of such universal deviation. The theory, if conceivably valid, would possibly reveal the etiology, for example, of the notable contrast in persona between “Mr.(Fred) Rogers” and Donald J. Trump.

We have read and been privy to the usual ubiquitous explanations for the origins of the empirical contrast universally observed among human personalities, evincing morally responsible inclinations, and those whose actions and sentiments are deemed pathologically, atavistic, and cruel. One such posited theory assigns causation to the beneficial presence or empirical lack of norm socialization by parental example or instruction; another would also consider the nature and quality of intimate social relationships. There are, in addition, arcane theories concerning physiology, notably mental or physical nuance (ex., glandular, hormonal, chemical), still another would maintain that character is experiential, i.e., learned from social experience; still others would facilely attribute such contrasting variations in persona to inherited inclination. Our speculation, as to the advent and perhaps the etiology of the universal “Cain and Abel” contrast between moral and pernicious human personality, is not pragmatically demonstrable; nevertheless, it may be empirically sound

Because our theory of the advent of the causation of personality nuance is radical, perhaps perceivable as rationally or dynamically bizarre, we would respectfully request the reader’s temporary suspension of understandable repulsion or remonstrance at its recitation and, at minimum, a scintilla of effort towards the possible validity of its theoretical conception.

As John Locke momentously declared, Man is born with a “tabula rasa” (a clean slate) and all of his knowledge is learned by his experience; we are inclined to reject any theory of inherited or naturally inclined traits. The earliest learning experiences by the newborn baby are primitively simple, as warmth, light, wet, dry, and the feeling of being firmly and safely held. These neonatal experiences are material to the newborn’s sense of self-discovery. Our (speculative) theory is that at this primeval stage, the newborn’s early perceived experience with maternal nurturance, particularly nursing and feeding, is the crucial time for the fundamental development of future personality, relative to lifelong selfish preoccupation or, by contrast, moral and empathic inclinations. We would suggest that the neonatal perception of a generous, warmly nurtured experience, or, contrastingly, the felt urge to personally and selfishly survive, are the incipient bases for the later, anecdotal development of persona.

In sum, under our purely ruminated theory, the infant, by its nuanced perception of the dynamics of early maternal-child interaction, acquires a lasting generalized inclination towards empathic humanism or its opposite; nevertheless, an unhealthy or unsocial outlook can be assuaged by significantly altering personal experience or professional therapy.

Blogpost # M. 280 JUGGLING PRIORITIES

It is inarguable to observe the empirical principle. that, in a perceived context of personal danger, mankind universally, will defer all prior concerns to prioritise the thoughts and actions necessary for his safety. By empirical extension, it would appear that the individual is inclined to relegate prior thoughts and concern as well, to matters of far less import, such as, getting a splinter, sustainimg a minor injury or sufferin digestive upset. Observably, there is a wide variety of empirical causation, yet a predictable singularity of response.

It would appear that the nature of one’s responsive reaction to stimuli is dependent on the nature and quality of one’s relevant situational perception, as distinguished from the process of deliberative and rationally considered concern; such emotional inclination often results in the misplacement of priorities.

The extant roiling national disputation relative to the character and actions of President Trump, it seems, has singularly and contextually captured and deflected a myriad of unrelated but, inarguably, truly cogent concerns contemporaneously confronting the Nation and the World.

Trump’s nefarious intention to rule in the manner of the stereotypical autocrat, his blatent rejection of the Constitution and precedential rule of law, serial mendacity and hubristic ideations are startling and an ominious threat to the Nation’s normative conception of the Office of the Presidency; his policies and actions, egregiously offend all reasonable moral standards. Trump is shockingly engaged in self-aggrandisizing behavior to the detriment of the welfare of the Nation, inclusive of its relationships with its historic allies and trading partners, while treasonously cosying up to the Nation’s declared enemies. He has funded a private (masked) army, (“ICE”) in stereotypical, Gestapo fashion, to terrorize, torture, and deport foreign-born, brown-skinned Americans without just cause or due proce has, contrary to his campaign demagoguery, made deceitful, and undelivered assurances of immediate peace in Gaza and Ukraine, to lower consumer prices but, sophomorically, chose to impose high tariffs on the Nation’s trading partners, thus elevating such prices, hubristically attempted to alter the Nation by the wave of his analogous”royal scepter” ( felt-tipped “Sharpie”), irrespective of the Nation’s three established branches of government, cruelly cut the historically established programs of financial assistance to disabled and retired American citizens and the Nation’s disabled military veterans, as well as halting the compassionate, and “soft diplomatic” programs of financial and medicinal aid to needy foreign nations, while, simultaneously cutting taxes for his billionaire donors.

There yet exists an additional dumpster-full of exigent reasons for the mainstream American citizen to fear for himself and his democracy. Notably, the specific instances, by their all-consuming popular concern, appear to be disappointingly effective in justifying a National, all-encompassing concern.

In keeping with the theme and context of this writing, we would suggest that such dire concern for our National Democracy, while understandable, has thoughtlessly overridden the fundamentally existential and rapidly metastasizing peril to the civilizational Planet, viz., “Global Warming.”

This year has seen mid-August weather in June, threatening consistent with the abnormal seasonal and climate conditions occurring globally, rising ocean levels from melting Arctic Ice, unprecedented flooding, inundation of inhabited territory, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions. excessive rainfall, tornadoes, mud slides, fires of immense magnitude, shore destruction, the increase in arid desert territory, pollution of the air and atmosphere, destruction of woodland and stresses on agriculture with the swings in abnormal temperature, destruction of ocean coral, prodigious winds, hurricanes, tornadoes and an additional ubiquitous host of dangerous and threatening phenomena, attributable, as determined by scientific research, to the pollution of the air and atmosphere, from the consumption of fossil fuels.

More worrisome is our contextual observation that Mankind is focused, singularly, on existing political and economic issues, to the detriment of the existential need to consider the exigent steps necessary to preserve our planet and its inhabitants.

Blogpost # M. 279 DEFERRED DIAGNOSIS (redux)

We have long contended that the bizarre, megalomaniacal behavior of Donald J. Trump is more comprehensively understood in an appropriate clinical context, rather than as an instance of perniciously nuanced persona. Our declaration is not, to any degree, intended as mitigation, but rather is advanced to facilitate an accurate clinical perception of his nature and disposition.

In our view, it is facile and erroneous to facily perceive his singularly outrageous persona as simply “irreverent,” “improper,” or ” inappropriate.” By contextual analogy, the fictional tale “The Emperor’s New Clothes” does not merely concern a witless sovereign, but one who is so delusionally demented that he can proudly parade naked before his subjects under the mad delusion that he is fully dressed in newly made royal trappings.

Donald Trump’s “Mad Hatter” behavior and his recurrent bizarre declarations go far beyond the permissible bounds of empirical nuance and, notably, are revelatory of a clinical inability to perceive reality in place of his clinically delusional mania. For starters, what sane candidate in a democratic, American Presidential election would publicly declare his intention to be a dictator? Even worse than such inappropriate and bizarre admission (and his unexpected success) are his earnest efforts to destroy the constitutional underpinnings of our Nation, and to rule as an autocrat.

It requires no special skill in observation to reach the all-too-apparent conclusion solely that Donald Trump is systemically enclosed in an all-encompassing, impenetrable bubble, such that empirical reality is reducible to his delusional concern as to whether he will be adjudged a “winner” or a “loser.”

At an official visit to the Arlington National Cemetery, he publically consigned the hundreds of deceased soldiers, who bravely and self-effacingly, gave their lives for the Nation, to the role of “suckers” and “losers.” His delusional lack of reality orientation was further demonstrated by his next, clinically discernible question, “What was in it for them?” The significance of these egregiously articulated public statements is empirically consistent, with the unabashed expostulations and skewed underpinnings of his quotidian declarations of “fact” and intention.

Trump has evinced a hubris-driven appetite for solid gold bathrooms, in the context of a nationally challenged economy, and has shamelessly accepted inappropriate and clearly unconstitutional gifts (bribes) from foreign autocratic countries. He has effectively downgraded the Nation’s historically venerated White House to a shopping mall, shamelessly hawking retail items such as red insignia baseball hats, golden sneakers, Bibles, steaks, colognes, vodka, and more recently, “meme” colns with replications of his smugly posed, majestic, Caesar-like visage.

This living caricature of the American Presidency has, in exchange for (tactically given) praise has befriended Western Civilization’s historic enemies, has accepted bribes, including a super-sized, multi-million dollar, jet-powered airplane from a Middle Eastern Nation, defrauded democratic Ukraine, by the ultimate denial of existentially needed military arms to the besieged Ukraine, in the interest of his bro-mance with the Russian autocratic aggressor, Putin. Inconsistent with the historic American context as the World’s avatar of democratic polity, he has publicly supported autocratic tyrants such as Putin, Kim Jong-un, Viktor Orban, and Nicholas Maduro.

The “Mad Hatter,” delusional character of Donald Trump is ubiquitously and inarguably demonstrated by his insane demand to unilaterally convert our sovereign neighbor, Canada, to an included State in our American Union, his announced intention to aggressively acquire Denmark’s ownership of Greenland, and, sophomorically to change the accepted geographic name of the “Gulf of Panama” to the “Gulf of America.” These egoistic aspirations are diagnostic symptoms of mental illness.

If necessary, our contextually observed diagnosis is buttressed by consideration of his inappropriate disparagement of the existentially vital peacekeeping, viz., NATO, his ignorant imposition of high tariffs on our trading partners, and his irrational destruction of the Nation’s health protective agencies. Trump has eliminated food and medical relief, domestically, by eliminating the SNAP program and reducing the Nation’s Health research agencies, as well as, internationally, by eliminating USAID, which empathically and diplomatically, provides food and medicine to needy nations; Trump has irrationally crippled the Nation’s Medicare and Medicad and Social Security systems while simultaneously enriching himself and performing his solely capable talents in the use of his hubristic gold bathrooms.

It would require a far more expansive writing to encyclopediacly relate Trump’s full plethora of clinically irrational and often hazardous behavior, such as the illegal and treasonous p;urloining of governmental top secret documents, insanely stored in a publicly accessible bathroom of Mar-A-Lago, his ego-delusional election denial and fomenting of a violent insurrection against his Nation’s Capitol, his recommended ingestion of of bathroom solvent as his solicitious cure during the pandemic, his illegal and anti-societal behavior as legally adjudged by 34 jury criminal convictions and a veritable, plethora of criminal indictments, frozen in place solely becaus his election, his Court adjudicated status as a sexual predator, a tax chiet and a defamer. To add some icing to the cake of his undeniable insanity, the illustrious Chief Executive has been supportive of the treasonous, anti-democratic, White Christian Nationalist militias and has chosen to ubiquitously interfere with the Nation’s democratically definitional right to vote.

There are many more anecdotal symptoms of Trump’s mental aberration; our personal favorite is the singularly revealing instance when, in the context of a publicised televised news interview, he publicly mimicked a news reporter suffering from the painfully obvious symptoms of palsy. This egregious performance may, in our view, exceed the full dumpster of Trump’s exotic behavior.

We are fully in accord with the observation of mainstream citizens to the effect that Trump’s bizarre persona is singularly inappropriate to an American President; however, it is our specific opinion that the etiology has inarguably been shown to be diagnosably clinical.

Blogpost # M. 278 FANFARE FOR THE LOCAL WEATHERMAN!

The science of meteorology is universally recognized for its many essential applications in studying the Earth’s atmosphere, encompassing the fluctuating weather and changing climate. It makes accessible an empirical understanding of our atmospheric phenomena, thus beneficially enabling the prediction of weather and weather patterns, and the analysis of these patterns, including their effects on the planet and its inhabitants. Contextually, it is a secular, contrasting, empirical science, rationally focusing on visible, worldly phenomena of Man’s experiential life rather than the widespread, contrasting belief in spiritual, non-worldly causation.

The referential utility of weather reports, relative to elective activities such as outdoor picnics and sailing, in addition to its pragmatic usefulness in the quotidian choice of clothing, is universally appreciated. Notwithstanding our accord with such positive observations, it is our extended view that the modern advent of the science of meteorology has served a significant role in the metaphysically overriding factor relative to the fundamentals of the rational and societal development of Man.

Ancient history reveals the universally primitive belief that the changing seasons and variations in daily weather are reflective of God, or Spirit-like declarations of approval or disapproval with Man’s choices of behavio The widespread believers in the “Sun God” fearfully witnessed his death every Autumn and his miraculous Springtime revival, the latter causally responsive to their indigenous ritual; conceivably, the advent of the extant religious dogma of “death and resurrection.” The Hopi Indian Rain Dance, before too long, indeed, led to the salutary presence of rain; the Biblical account of the tossing overboard of Jonah, perceived to be a sinner, quieted the roiling ocean, the temperament of the Norse God Thor was visibly expressed by lightning and thunderstorms, and so on, relative to the nuanced cultural ethnos of the diverse human societies. In some cultures, it seems, the horrors of ritual human sacrifice were prescribed as the panacea for undesirable weather, poor harvest, drought, or disease.

The beneficial development of the “Age of Enlightenment” ultimately led Man to the acceptance of the salubrious exercise and dependence on human reason and its thematic application to the mystery of the changing seasons and other observable meteorological phenomena. The brilliant, scholarly written views of the classic empiricists, such as Locke (“Man is born with a ‘tabula rasa’ [ a clean slate] and his knowledge is solely acquired by his empirical experience), Rene Descartes, Isaac Newton, Frances Bacon, Voltaire, Erasmus, and the multitude of other venerable thinkers, were, no doubt, solely accessible to highly literate scholars; the average man relegated to learning from his own personal experience, albeit, anecdotally hampered by his culturally inherited beliefs in the supernatural. dynamics of the natural phenomena

This atavistic mode of belief persists contemporaneously, despite the era’s substantial advancement in science and emphasis on rational thought. Atavistic beliefs still obdurately and fearfully endure in mankind, existentially hampering Man’s aspiration for the achievement of his evolved, natural potential to attain the ultimate goal of wisdom.

Notwithstanding the widespread persistence of “faith” as the questionable fount of knowledge, the thematic revelation of the scientific and experiential nature of meteorology has been existentially important to Man’s banishment of “evil spirits,” and belief in the existence of supernatural causation, at a minimum, regarding Seasons and the Weather. May the salubrious process of rational thought continue!

Blogpost # M.277 A JULY 4th FIZZLE

Today is July 4, America’s (Happy?) Birthday. It is the most significant and universally celebrated American holiday, perennially serving as a reminder of our Nation’s systemic aversion to autocracy or monarchical rule and its ardent preference for an established Democratic Republic. The Declaration of Independence (from the English King) was officially adopted by the Continental Congress on that celebrated date, in 1776, officially giving birth to our new independent Nation. Americans, of every political stripe, annually celebrate this historically significant radical and enlightened break from the historic European-style of monarchical rule. We are of the view that its observance is patriotically related to America’s Memorial Day, the latter, commemorating those who gave their lives in service to the Nation.

It appears that prior assumptions of the permanent endurance of this established mode of governance, viz., “by and for the People,” for which Americans have fought and died, at the time of its current birthday, are disturbingly being called into question.

The contemporary governance by a singularly irresponsible, egocentric, and demonstrably incapable Chief of State, characterized by uncontained hubris, autocratic leanings, and an empirical lack of empathy or moral compass. Mainstream Americans, terrified by his arbitrary, autocratic policies and unconventional actions, are disconcerted by his unprecedented rejection of the Constitution and apparent disregard for the traditional American way of life. Donald Trump’s defeat of Joseph Biden appears to have resulted, metaphysically, as we in the defeat of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln, avatars of the Nation’s avowed democratic character.

It is difficult to happily join a National birthday celebration when the Nation’s Chief Executive has declared his intention to be a dictator, has arrogated to himself the right to legislate and adjudicate ( regardless of the foundational “Separation of Powers'” provided by the Constitution) by his unprecedented Executive Orders, signed with the egoistic flourish of his velvet-tipped pen; even to the extent of superceding the arduous, constitutional mandated protocol regarding constitutional amendment, ( birthright citizenship),

It presently appears difficult, in spirit, to celebrate the unique democratic nature of a present government whose Chief Executive expends millions of taxpayer dollars to autocratically raise a Gestapo-like masked army to infiltrate the peaceful lives of immigrants, arrest, jail, and banish them to foreign torture prisons, who autocraticalkly and illegally uses the military to enforce his decrees, who continues to engage in the perverse use of the office ofthe Presidency to obscenely enrich himself and his family, in irrefutable contravention of the constitution’s “Emoluments Clause,” and whose perverse policies are inclusive of “retribution” against his political enemies and the officials who dutifully prosecuted him for his heinous crimes, and for his arbitrary destruction, without Congressional participation, of our Nation’s utilitarian Federal Civil Service, most notably our existentially vital Health and Medical Agencies, ignorantly boasted of his imperial authority by singly imposing large arbitrary tariffs on America’s trading partners, thus increasing, rather than reducing, as promised, domestic prices inclusive of items like food and medicine, championed the perverse criminalization of Woman’s natural right to elect an abortion, fails to adequately assist beleaguered Ukraine with necessary arms for that democracy’s defense against despotic Russian aggression, challenged the policies and very existence of Universities and other institutions of learning, expresse his Napoleanic desire to take over our friendly neighbor, Canada (” a 51st State”) and Denmark’s Greenland, delusionally attempst to change the geographic name of the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America,” conduct of intimate relationships with America’s autocratic enemies;l and, on the domestic front, purloining Government Top Secret documents and irresponsibly rendering them publicly accessible by bizarrely chosen storage at his Mar-A-Largo bathroom, personal responsibility for many-faceted instances of voter interference, denial of certified voting results, fomenting and supporting a violent insurrection and thereafter, pardoning the criminal participants engaged by him. tactically making false demagogic promises of ubiquitous benefits to citizens, together with multi-dumpsters full of violations of societal norms, whose listing would exceed the conventional limits of the stereotypical”blog.”

It is our request that Donald Trump, whose publis statement, relative to the many hundreds of young soldiers buried at Arlington Cemetery as “suckers and losers,” while shamefully asking: What was in it for them?” be excluded from the list of Presidents deservedly honored on President’s Day. We would also respectfully and earnestly request permission to forego our usual participation in this year’s Fourth of July celebrations.

Blogpost # M. 276 FABRICS AND FABRICATIONS

The idiomatic expression, “Made out of whole cloth,” signifies that a statement of fact is entirely false or fabricated. It commonly relates to an attempt to trick or deceive. In the 1800s, it was a common practice among tailors to deceive their customers, using pieced goods instead of whole cloth.

To exploit the metaphor, we would thematically declare that the “fabrication” of the truth by the current Presidential Administration “looms” large, if not universally, in its quotidian pronouncements. The perverse promotion by Donald Trump of the concept of “alternate facts” effectively disables any rational choice of empirical reality by its irrational, self-serving imposition of the unthinking responsibility to accept his articulated, self-interested distortions, i.e., those “manufactured from whole cloth.” Included among the overflowing dumpster of his misleading assertions of fact and intention, asserted tactically, or by reason of his delusional capability. The latter inclination, presumably, is what engendered sufficient votes from the Nation’s large inventory of poorly informed populist voters to secure his bizarre ( 1.5%) election victory.

Typical Trump assurances and undertakings, cut from the proverbial “whole cloth,” were: ” I will end the Ukraine and Gaza Wars in the first days of my office, I will immediately improve the Nation’s economy, cut its defifit and lower consumer prices, I will solve the immigration problem, I will preserve Medicaid and Medicare, as well as the Social Security System, I will lower crime and make America safer, I will cut taxes on the working class, together with various additional false or delusional representations consistent with his neurotic need to be a “Winner.”

If false representation can be permissibly analogized to the empirically judgmental concept of “whole cloth,” it may be observed that the totality of said demagogic representations of intention may be qualitatively described as abounding in ragged tatters. The current Nation’s economy is fathoms deep in economic and financial distress, its National deficit under Trump’s watch is excessive and unparalleled, the autocratic excess in his un-American, Gestapo style policy regarding the yet unmitigated immigration problem has not only proven to be observably unsuccessful, but has shamefully challenged America’s traditionally just system of legal due process, the Trump dominated legislature is in the process of hobbling Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare, crime statistics, notably, violent crimes are breaking the charts and Trump’s egotistically reductive ignorance has led to international policies that confuse and preturb our relations with friendly nations and NATO, and place the American Nation in an ambiguously dangerous posture, an unprecedented position quite distinguishable from the orange demagogue’s promises of a better and greater America. The Trump Administration appears to be contextually closer to the colorful reputational zeitgeist of New York City’s Garment Center than that of the traditionally American Democratic Republic.

There presently exists a clear and present danger that our Nation will run painfully short of the specific natural resources relative to its nuanced inventory of dry goods, known as “whole cloth.”

Blogpost # M. 275 SNAKE OIL AMERICA

We would request the reader’s forgiveness for the redundant expression of our unmitigated revulsion at the demagogic falsity of Donald Trump’s inane purpose to “Make America Great Again,” articulated in his deceitful false representations of acceptable purpose; his plethora of “snake oil” statements of intention have proven to be diagnosable as toxic “cognitive dissidence” in an obvious attempt to smokescreen his singular neurotic lust for totalitarian power.

Too many reductiver populists, lacking the benefit of an adequate education, and being poorly informed, seem to have “bought into” Donald Trump’s empirically deniable mis-statements of purpose. Such obvious and tautalogically observable falsity, compared with his policies and actions, irrefutably define their clinical attribution as textbook “cognitive dissonance,” and confirm the sub-rosa revelation of his hubrisic lust for imperial power.

A few illustrative examples of Trump and MAGA dissonant and irreconcilable memes may be meaningful:

BOOK CENSORSHIP;

The Trump-MAGA rationale for the banning of books alleges, as its motivational rationale, the protective exclusion of the “embarrassing” or “misleading ” history of chattel slavery, or alternatively, its arbitrary perception of religiously harmful, lascivious content. Such puerile and hubristic travesty against free speech, in the tactical guise of the beneficial avoidance of embarrassment or potential misbehavior, is inarguably false, but, frea, isticallytactically revealing when realistically weighed against the notoriously shameful arrest and deportation of long-resident, foreign-born individuals by face-masked operatives of the Trump administration. without a shred of constitutionally mandated, due process, with the public instances of police brutality against black Americans, the shameful instances of graft and bribery reaching to the level of SCOTUS, the Presidential incitement of National Insurrection, or the lemming-like complete surrender of agency by the Republicasn Party to the declared, autocratic President, the cynically. self-interested industrial captains of industry, in their profit- seeking sociopathic polluting behavior, proximately resulting in an existential threat to the Planet and its living inhabitants, to the colossal difference in life experience between the lowly poor and the billionaire mogul, the shameful and democratically caustic effect of self-justified, insular religious influence and other national embarrassments, ad infinitum, ad nauseam. The vile and hubristic practice of book censorship has no empirically credible motive save thought-control, in aid of Trump’s quest for totalitarian power.

IMMIGRATION:

Donald J. Trump has shown himself to be the self-designated poet laureate of xenophobia by his reductively prejudicial xenophobic declarations.. He has falsely defamed immigrants as constituting “caravans”” of criminals, rapists and national rejects, coming to America to commit crimes including the violant rape of innocent women. Such perverse defamation is an evident and, notably, personal, projective illustration of the dynamics of cognitive dissonance.

This nation, composed of immigrants and their progeny, evinces a comparatively low record of criminality of immigrants who have proven to be hard-working tax tax-paying, family members who dutifully serve in the military. Donald Trump has been officially declared to be a draft dodger, a serial woman abuser with 34 felonies and numerous felony indictments, the latter, presently dormant because of his fortuitous election to the Presidency. It is notable and cognitively dissonant with his eternal defamatory declarations concerning immigrants that all three of his marriages have, in fact, been to foreign immigrants. It is blatantly obvious that his expressions of xenophobia are merely tactically aimed at enrolling America’s extant horde of populist bigots to his support

GENDER AND HOMOSEXUAL PREJUDICE AND ABORTION CRIMINALIZATION:

We have chosen to conjoin and treat as unitary the myriad instances of cognitive dissonance and intrusion relative to the subject of intimate citizen privacy by the shameless Trump-Religious confederation of MAG cognitively dissonant overseers of virtue. The individualized, haphazard arrangement of genes and hormones results in an occasional variety of variant sexual and gender characteristics and involuntary inclinations. The cruel, reductive perception of inborn and involuntary sexual and gender variation from the statistical and empirical “norm” is irrational, ignorant, and manifestly unjust. Trump’s MAGA conglomeration does not shrink from immoral and unconstitutional bias, making the somewhat societally challenged life of such individuals more difficult. This moral travesty is an embarrassment to the American ethos of liberty and equality and is cognitively and empirically dissonant with “Making America Great Again.”

It is submitted that the zenith of egregious and autocratic interference with American freedom is the c urrently prevailing unjust and egregious determination of criminality in the criminalization of a woman’s natural and inherent right to elect an abortion, in the cognitively dissonant, desire to preserve life; the latter deceit belied by the denial of support to the born child, as dissonatel distinguished from his fetus) , in moral sync with the MAGA opposition to aid to National and Internsational needy human beings; the “Right to Life” meme is another shameless incident of the ubiquitous and glaringly obvious, Trump-MAGA, cognitive dissonance, or Trumpist “Snake Oil.”

Blogpost # M. 274 FORECASTING DEMOCRACY

Upon his morning awakening and arousal, Man’s predictable terpsichorean performance commences with parting the bedroom curtains to sleepily peer at the day’s weather and then mindlessly clicking on the radio for the day’s weather forecast and the latest news. There is no similar activity, conceivably, to ascertain the current state or forecast of the current state of democracy, such as ” mostly constitutional, but with a 23% chance of MAGA.”

Democracy is not an impersonal, natural dynamic that evinces itself upon anecdotal reference, but rather, the positive consequence of an informed community dynamically dedicated to its beneficial endurance. It is not a matter of the positive occurrence of fortuitous events, but rather the successful end product of diligent and dedicated curation. The gradual metastasizing of our Democratic Republic to a disgraceful and nightmarish autocracy, presided over by the present Trump Administration and its loyal menagerie of lieutenants, cheered on by its MAGA base of America’s underbelly, is not, like meteorology, a dynamic product of forces outside of human intention.

The seemingly limitless and endless foul atmosphere, presently hovering over our precious democracy, and its previous temporally improving history of ongoing advancement toward the goal of a perfect union of free and fully equal citizens, is not the effect of unseen and uncontrollable forces beyond the control of the ultimately determinative American citizen. Unlike a response to the prevailing weather, it mandates no accommodation, relevant adjustment, or abject resignation. A positive and confident rejection is the most cogent and appropriate elixir for the recuperation of our precious Democratic Republic and the confident assurance of the American salubrious and aspirational way of life.

We have often quoted the wise and lyrical words of the late Elie Wiesel, who declared, “The opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference.” In a similar dynamic, we would take the liberty of respectfully altering such sage words to affirmatively state: “Despotic governance is not improperly accommodated but adamantly and appropriately rejected by a democratically dedicated citizenry.”

Our intended theme amounts to a remonstrance to all mainstream, democracy-loving Americans, as to the cogent avoidance of feelings of helplessness, resignation, or accommodation to Trump’s aspiration to monarchical autocracy, as the same would ultimately prove to be democratically suicidal. By contrast, the maintenance of articulated outrage and an adamant confidence in the soon-to-be restored traditions of our Democratic Republic, rationally and tactically, would inarguably be more fruitful and effective.

The rational response to the quotidian weather forecast is acceptance, and where relevant, accommodation. By marked contrast, the existentially appropriate response to the venal Trump Administration is one of loyal citizen resistance and the concomitant maintenance of the continued aspiration for the enduring future of our profoundly cherished democracy.

Blogpost # M. 274  IMMIGRATION AND EUCLIDEAN GEOMETRY

The mathematical discipline of Euclidean Geometry involves deducing the logical basis for previously accepted general principles (theorems) by progressive deduction from serially presented mathematical truisms (“axioms”). The successive progression of accepted principles logically leads to the contextually presented principle (“QED”). It may be enlightening and helpful to analogize the reductive basis of immigration to the express rationality of geometry.. The bias of xenophobia, which notably occupies a fixed and rancorous place in society, unfortunately, of such prominence in society as to be reflective of its nuanced social and political character.

In this writing, we attempt to examine the metaphysical cause of its analogously fixed, geometric “given,” viz., xenophobia, a pervasive prejudice that, in our view, warrants fundamental metaphysical examination. An analogous “time out,” an inquiry into its ubiquitous motivation, may prove enlightening and beneficial to its understanding, and, hopefully, be of assistance in its amelioration. Our focus is on its domestic dynamic, for understandable reasons. pragmatic and didactic.

Prejudice against immigrants (xenophobia), simply put, is a species of bigotry based on the perception that immigrants are “different,” “strange,” or somehow upsetting to the existing order. This appears to constitute an empirically false delusional ideation, when one considers that the United States is, and has been, populated by immigrants and their progeny, and whose welcome has been officially and prominently articulated by the Nation’s iconic Statue of Liberty.

We would inquire as to the existence of any supporting principles or rational basis for the assertion of “difference.” Certainly not an empirically based concern relating to a shortage of jobs or to a dearth of residential venues. It is notable , relative to this contested subject is the fact that the High Priest of Xenophobia, the orange Monarch, himself, has been married three times, each to a foreign immigrant.

Returning to our conceived and contrasting analogy with Euclidean geometry, the egregiously neurotic and immutable basic, “given,” (xenophobia), i.e., the adamantly asserted hatred of foreign immigrants, is not deducible or rationally resolvable by any rationally logical process of deduction from erstablished antecedent premises; nor otherwise supported by empirically rational argument. Contrary to the propagandic defamation by Trump, immigrants prove to have a lower crime rate than the average American citizen, are generally known to be hard-working, family people who pay taxes and serve in the military. As to the category of individuals, termed “illegal” immigrants, the “illegality” refers merely to their lack of required registration and not to moral turpitude; notably, one can have great difficulty in observing the critical difference, by their harsh treatment by Trump’s face- masked private Gestapo, “ICE.”

Simply stated, “Immigration” is the chosen action to move permanently to another country; in this case, to the United States. In this American Nation, historically populated by immigrants and their progeny, it is sadly ironic, but empirically inarguable, that extensive prejudice and discrimination exist against immigrants in business, criminal justice, the economy, housing, health care, and politics. If immigration simply connotes the desire to live better in America, what is the reasonable justification for the eternally roiling dispute dominating the news media?

Unlike the logical dynamics of the contextual discipline of geometry, there exists no rational principle underlying the irrational, undeserved, a priori concept (the “given”) of xenophobic prejudice, the latter by bright contrast with the rationally logical discipline of Euclean Geometry, evincing no supporting process of axiomatic support toward its reductively irrational conclusion.

The undemocratic and unethical bias can be seen and rejected as atavistic and existing despite an entire lack of logical or empirical support.

Unlike the rational underpinning of geometry, xenophobia is clearly not generated by the exercise of reason; its reductively unsupported existence should be appropriately reconsidered where relevant, and beneficially rejected as based upon a primitive and eternally perpetuated delusion.
