Blogpost # M. 341 IT’S ANTHROPOLOGICAL

For years, we had consistently failed in our arcane attempts to comprehend the origin and nature of our singular President, Donald J. Trump. Was his aberrative behavior a result of inadequate or skewed socialization? Childhood neglect or abuse? Diagnosable mental disorder? Psychopathic or sociopathic personality disorder? An acceptable explanation for his singularly delusional and demonstrated self-interest, entire lack of moral compass, and notably, his comprehensive detachment from societally established boundaries, we concluded, warrants a more profound determination of its etiology than a facile observation of an ” aberrant persona.”

After much metaphysically oriented contemplation, we have come to the conclusion, founded in Trump’s astonishingly bizarre public statements and perverse actions, augmented by their evident lack of expressed principle or discernible consistency, that the relevant causation far exceeds any empirically initially based conclusion.

While our proffered explanation, initially, may be deemed astounding or factually inconceivable, it, nevertheless, appears to” fit the bill,” as further evidenced by the nature of his determined drive for personal retribution against perceived political rivals or dissenters, egigently necessitated by his singularly ego-protective, and societally aberrant policies.

As evidenced by his unique, sui-generis character, Donald Trump visibly exudes the symptomology of a solitary, stranded, and hapless victim of an exotic world eternally challenging him to prove his presumed worth and the consequent aspiration to be seen as a “winner,” which we perceive to mean universally and eternally admired.

It is our thematic proposition that, analogous to the existence of, Man’s vestigial organs, viz., tonsils and appendix, deemed by biological anthropologists to have once been of systemic utility in the early stages of human developmental evolution, but are presently useless, superfluous, and capable of posing a potential threat to the salubrious functioning of contemporary mankind.

The universally accepted conceits of Locke and Rousseau concerning the existence of a social contract by which the individual willingly surrenders some liberties, in exchange for the ubiquitous benefits of living in society with others, are evidently absent from Trump’s atavistic and vestigial persona. In our view, the latter absence, for Trump, outweighs any concept of societal interdependence and moral responsibility. It is observable that Donald J Trump, inarguably, is not a participating party in the civilizational “Social Compact”

The latter observation evinces the presence of a uniquely primitive and socially underdeveloped member of the human species. Consistent with our judgmental theme, Donald J. Trump is a rare, “vestigial” leftover from Man’s anthropological and physico-systemic march toward acceptable humanism. There well may be other, such defective products of the evolutionary assembly line, but this one, notably, is no less, the President of the United States.

In the context of possible amelioration, we initially thought of a 60-day salutary assignment of Donald Trump to a troupe of jungle bonobos (Jane Goodall and other primatologists of note have commented on the socialized, communal structure of these evolved gorillas and, notably, their innate capacity for love, sensitivity, and empathy). However, on second thought, in moral and empathic consideration of these loving and peaceful beasts, we would prefer the electoral defeat of the psychopathic, vestigial phenomenon anthropologically identified as Donald Trump, analogous to the exigent, surgical excision of an infected vestigial organ from a fully evolved and normal patient.
